Danube Properties Dubai is sponsoring the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL), which is holding its opening matches in the UAE for the first time. Truckers UAE, a food truck provider, is the local host partner, strengthening the link between the event and the local community.
India's Most-Watched Sportainment
Since it began in 2011, CCL has grown into India's most-watched sport and entertainment event, with the previous season reaching more than 250 million viewers across TV and digital.
Season 10 will open in the UAE on Friday, 23 February, at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, bringing CCL's signature blend of sport and entertainment, or "sportainment". It will feature eight teams representing India's major film industries, Hindi, Punjabi, Bhojpuri, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, uniting more than 200 film celebrities on one platform.
Personalities associated with CCL include Salman Khan, brand ambassador of Mumbai Heroes; Riteish Deshmukh, captain of Mumbai Heroes; and Sohail Khan, owner of Mumbai Heroes.
